Simo Soo is a vocalist/multi-instrumentalist and electronic music producer from Sydney. Simo began performing and recording solo during his time fronting now-defunct noise/punk band, Call The Medic, Call The Nurse!! in 2008.
Simo Soo’s music is a mix of DIY punk aesthetics fused with modern hip hop and dance production by way of everything from noise to IDM to autotune pop.
Solo he has released 5 EPs, 2 LPs and one mixtape made up of new material and remixes.
He has played shows across Australia, USA and Spain with bands such as Abe Vigoda, XBXRX, Rat Vs Possum, Captain Ahab, Big A little a, Curse Ov Dialect, Broken Eyes (ft. Peaches), Collarbones, The Laurels, Kirin J Callinan and countless others.
He has also done remixes for the likes of Captain Ahab, The Death Set, Collarbones, Totally Unicorn, Sweet Teeth, Dominique Young Unique & Big Dumb Kid.
His 3rd album features production and guest vocals by members of Collarbones, Big Dumb Kid and Nardwuar The Human Serviette.
BONUS FACT: Simo Soo is one of the people in the recent Peaches video for her track ‘Mud’ squirting water, mud and glitter all over her.
