Cock and Ball Torture Australian tour January 2013!
Absolutely huge news for gore/grind fiends. German gore legends Cock and Ball Torture are heading down under in January 2013!
For that you can thank Southern Extremeties Productions in association with Grindhead Records and Shananigans Entertainment.
Here's the press release:
A progenitor of pitch-shifted, porn influenced goregrind, and one of the most influential groups within the style, Germany's Cock and Ball Torture make their first ever trip "Down Under" at the very start of 2013.
After 3 full lengths and several EPs and splits, the group is known and loved worldwide for their catchy, grooving, down-tuned, rancid horegrind, and have a strong and supportive worldwide fan base on the back of their impressive discography and excellent live performances.
After 15 years together, and countless successful shows and tours, the lurid lads decided it was finally time to make a trip to the "Land Down Under", and give Australia a taste of the aural filth they've been dishing up for 1 and a 1/2 decades.
So this is it, the tour so many have wanted to see: Cock and Ball Torture - Bulldozing Australia 2013.

I should be doing Grindhead things and to some extent this is related... Here's a choose your own adventure/genre for Friday night. Free Doom or Death and Grind in Tempe?
Adrift For Days release their 2nd album this Friday night. It's getting great reviews and the show is free.
Grannyfist are launching their DVD. I don't know who has seen it, but I'm told there's content on there that means it had to be created in another state.

Earth set to tour Australia this September
This is the best thing to happen ever. Thanks to Rob MacManus and Heathen Skulls, Earth are touring Australia for the first time ever this September.
Earth formed in 1990 and led by guitarist Dylan Carlson. Mostly instrumental, their early work grew out of the Seattle area grunge scene and is recognized as pioneering the genre of drone doom — an experimental offshoot of doom metal, characterised by droning, minimalist, lengthy and repetitive structures.
Their early albums could be seen as a variation of the experimental doom-influenced metal of The Melvins. They now feature a markedly different sound, slow-paced and lengthy featuring strong elements of country music and jazz and the addition of a drummer.Released earlier this year, “Angels Of Darkness, Demons Of Light II” is ultimately a completely unanticipated direction for Earth, and a very welcome one at that. Well respected by their musical peers, Earth were invited by Portishead to be apart of their curated ATP festival in 2011 and were subsequently asked to perform at ATP 2012, curated by Jeff Mangum (Neutral Milk Hotel).Earth are heartfelt, haunting and deliver slow moving music that stretches into other worlds. Don’t miss your chance to see them in their first Australian tour this September. Nasum tour Australia / New Zealand August 2012
Pretty stoked this has happened. Grindcore legends Nasum are coming to Australia! Keijo Niinimaa of Rotten Sound will be performing vocal duties (which ain't a bad deal in lieu of Mr. Talarczyk). Nice one Heathen Skulls.
