Download: McClane – Push Start
McClane hail from Canberra (now two parts Canberra, one part Melbourne) and play power-violence, grind and Bruce Willis inspired hardcore, and have been nice enough to let everyone steal their demo Push Start. Having had the pleasure to play with these guys live, they're well worth checking out.
Mixing the straight up aggression of Iron Lung and Man is the Bastard with the more technical aspects of The Dillinger Escape Plan, the noisy hardcore of Converge and the blasting violence of Pig Destroyer and Agents of Abhorrence - McClane a definitely an Australian band to keep an eye out for!

Ahh those crazy Canberra boys from McClane; for those of you were lucky enough to see them a few weeks back, they're a band not to be missed.
To my knowledge they've only played a handful of gigs, but they've got some good energy going on, as well as some really cool fast, uptempo thrashing powerviolence/hardcore with lots of time changes that kinda remind me of Agents of Abhorrence for some reason. They're probably a little closer to bands like Iron Lung, Pig Destroyer, Man Is The Bastard and Infest.
Good blokes too. And sporting singlets with crappy McClane quotes like "Now I have a machine gun" on them? Priceless. Bruce Willis may not be quite as cool as awesomely cheesy Sylvester Stallone, but he's up there.
We've got two pieces of good news: McClane are apparently going to carry on despite their vocalist Nickmc moving to Melbourne, and we're all allowed to steal their cool demo from Rapidshare, so steal it with blessing from the McClane guys.
Check out their MySpace page while you're at it and let 'em know what you think.
