Agitator Records has recently released Mother Eel's Loathes Dicks.
Presently there is no functional way to capture and distribute the complete, intense and disturbing experience of Mother Eel live... this is something the band thinks is a pleasingly, unpleasant representation.
Featuring 12 crushing works over 15 ear tearing tracks in 38 minutes, pieced together from three or so recordings made live in the venue, at the Lewisham Hotel, Sydney, 2011. Each recording comes with its own balance based on the location of the recording device.
Loathes Dicks boasts:
- vocals from Adrian Johnstone, the departed drummer who returned to do some vocals
- full booklet artwork with Mother Eel logo by ashcroft (dillonashcroft.com), ruined by semenstorm, notes by semenstorm, kenna, & cunningham
- a solid sense of loathing and disgust.
The track listing includes songs such as Sucking To Gain (Like Leeches), Tomarchyoo, Another Face For Beating & The Erection Of Pain
It is intended that this record be played loud. Experiencing the record at the 'minimum listening volume' will require you to significantly raise your voice if you were to try to conduct a conversation whilst listening. The ideal listening can be achieved at a volume you can feel, or on headphones, loud, curled up at the bottom of an inky black, damp & crawling, pit. with your eyes wide open.
Agitator Records also offers live bootlegs from bands like Ivan & The Backpackers, Dark Horse and Black Jesus as well as numerous other releases, including Mother Eel's back catalog. All for free, all to agitate.

The grind hit mix of summer, turn those summer blues around with some real party tunes!
At AusGrind's recent annual shareholders conference (read: a messy drunken grindparty for two) the AusGrind board move to initiate a new social welfare initiative aimed at increasing the grindparty of our fellow Australians over this summer period.
It is in this spirit of charity that we are proud to present AusGrind's Hits of the Summer 2011 - a FREE digital compilation featuring 21 tracks of premium grindparty tunes from some of Australia's greatest grindcore, powerviolence and crossover bands - not to mention some awesome underground gems you might not yet know.
AusGrind's Hits of the Summer is great gift for your grind loving mother on Christmas Day. Please burn this mix to a CD, to place in your shitty car stereo, boost the Treble to 11 and let those buff Gaga-loving circle jerks know who's boss.

The record label that "famously" hosts this blog (Lesstalk Records) is actually releasing the grindcore music it writes daily about, i know weird huh? The Blue Mountain's own Machinoir is releasing a split today with US noise artist The Dissonance Process. Machinoir uses laptop cinfigurations of noise, broken guitars and effects to create lo-fi grindcore, 33 tracks in total this release is definitely the most extreme music released by Lesstalk Records thus far. My favourite tracks on the split by Machinoir are truth, song written on a scrap of paper and pylon, so just skip to those ones for the hit singles. Nihilism through SSRIs by The Dissonance Process is some of the only blackened music I enjoy, some really great drone black noisecore. Hooray for Australian grind! For fans of Xrin Arms, Mechagodzilla & Discordance Axis.

Solo Sydney noisegrind outfit Machinoir is set to release a new split of harshed out lo-fi grind this Friday. The other side of the split is US solo noise project The Dissonance Process and it be released by Lesstalk Records (the label that hosts this blog). Released primarily as a free download and limited run of CD's for those audiophiles who enjoy the art and final product as much/more than the music. Machinoir has previously worked on creating noisescapes for bands including Beyond Terror Beyond Grace and Michael Crafter.
As a little teaser he has released a promotional video, watching it gives you a bit more of a reference to the music that will ensue so I recommend seeing it before downloading. Watch below.
