Wretch want you to be a part of their next CD

Posted by mothereel

Wretch, all sun glasses, no smiles

Give them your money!

Those Canberran's are looking to release a new album.   They want to try something new.  It would be nice if you, and your pals, could contribute some dollars towards their process.  It can immortalise you, not only to the band, but you could even get your name in the Thank You section, which you could show all those kids who still continue to make fun of you, your taste in music and your lack of a life.  Go here now to donate.
Read what Wretch had to say:

For as low as $10 you can pre-purchase a digital download of the album (with digital artwork and all the trimmings); $20 gets you a CD, $35 is a (new design) t-shirt and CD; and $60 and over wins you immortality through inclusion in the thanks list in the album art.

All you need is an email address. You can pay with PayPal or direct debit. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and you can guarantee that we'll remember your help and do what we can to support your next project and keep the live music scene interesting.

Wretch 'Because You're Worthless' Album Artwork

Wretch is four-piece grind/death/thrash/METAL!!! band based in Canberra. Since forming in 2011, Wretch has gone from strength to strength. Their live assault has been refined by frequent performances, including a handful of international supports, a number of successful festivals and playing with damn near every metal, hardcore and punk band in the country.

The Senseless Violence EP (http://fvckingshitcvnt.bandcamp.com/) was self-released in early 2012 and received positive critical reception.

In the same DIY spirit, they’re recording their full-length album, Because You’re Worthless, for self-release in April and are inviting you to help support the making of this new album. Think of it as being like an extreme metal arts patron, supporting a new world where the record companies and shitty middlemen have all fucked off home and the music lovers have taken over.

News that is awesome: Pig Destroyer recording new album

Posted by Lachlan

Pig Destroyer - new album coming fall 2012When I was an obsessive grind-head with little or few tastes outside harsh grind, Pig Destroyer were one of my favourite bands. I still throw on Prowler In The Yard and Terrifyer with far more regularity than most grind albums of yesteryear. The Sydney leg of their Australian tour back in 2008 was outrageous, drunken, grind fun -- topped perhaps only by seeing Insect Warfare and Agents of Abhorrence in Maggotsville warehouse earlier that year.

It is therefore with great joy that I learn Pig Destroyer are back in the studio for the first time in 5 years! From Relapse Records:

The extreme music world is about to get a much needed cinderblock to the face as the mighty PIG DESTROYER has entered the studio to record their highly anticipated 5th full-length record and first album in over five years! The band is self-producing and recording the new album at guitarist Scott Hull’s Visceral Sound Studios in Alexandria, VA. The as-of-yet-titled album is a return to a raw, primitive sound and will feature 19 songs of their signature misanthropic grind. A late 2012 release is expected via Relapse Records.

This time around, PIG DESTROYER have enlisted the help of Adam Jarvis (MISERY INDEX) to lend inhuman drumming skills to the aural hatred. Now a full time member, Scott Hull commented on the addition of Adam:

“Tracking the drums happened this week and I'm honestly amazed at how Adam stepped up to the task of learning some challenging shit outside of his standard comfort zone. He came into the studio ready to destroy and destroy he did. And in the haze of long studio hours he never settled for a bad take. He's a real soldier. Adam has helped breathe new life into the band and we feel like we are starting fresh. Everyone here is excited for people to check out the new jams.”

Additionally, PIG DESTROYER has been confirmed for the UK’s prestigious Damnation Festival this November with numerous other dates and festivals to be announced shortly.

Can't wait!

Preview the new Some Girls Album

Posted by Matt

Some Girls was a collective of musicians who came from different backgrounds and all who had established bands that pushed the limits of hardcore punk.
Their musical style was a hybrid of mathcore, grindcore and noise rock.

Some Girls have been busy back in the studio recording their 3rd album, their latest since Heaven's Pregnant Teens in 2006.

Personally I'm very excited for this one having last seen them in Australia for Come Together way back in 2007. The new album set to be released July 15th through 31G featuring all original lineup of Justin Pearson, Wesley Eisgold, Rockey Crane, and Sal Gallegos. Their last album seemed was a great expansive step for the group, but this album will finally help them reach the heights they were aiming for. Produced by Pharrell Williams this album features guest performances by Mike Patton and Karen O this is set to be truly groundbreaking.

New songs from Kill the Client and Dining in Tuscany

Posted by Lachlan

We've got new tracks on the interweb from Texas' grind maniacs Kill the Client and the Sydney based Dining in Tuscany.

Kill the ClientKill the client have uploaded a track called 'The Lies' from their upcoming split on RSR Records with Thousandswilldie which you can check out here.

That song will be joined by a two other newies; Red State Redneck and Divide and Conquer. This is the first material with Dorian from Noisear in the band. Word is Kill the Client have also finished work on their new album and will be setting a release date shortly.

Then we've got Dining in Tuscany. If you haven't heard these guys, please take actions to correct thing. Dining in Tuscany play a unique mix of black metal, hardcore, post hardcore and grind... kind of like an ungodly combination of Converge, Nasum, Isis and black metal (dont ask me to name a specific black metal influence, I dont know the difference). You've got huge noisy progessive movements, insane blasting and shredding riffs, screeching vocals and long complicated song structures. Incredible band to see live.

Anyway they've put up a rough pre-production song from their new album which you can scope here. This is just a rough mix dont by Tyson and the boys as they wait for the incredibly talented Tim Carr to work his magic. The song will be taken down shortly so check it out while you have the chance.

Their incredible first album 'Postcards from Coco Lezzone' is available through Soviet Records and is well worth your time.
