ACT grinders The Reverend Jesse Custer launch their EP
Grindpalz The Reverend Jesse Custer are releasing their debut EP on Lesstalk Records, they will be having 2 shows in November to launch it. But in the meantime you can preorder your copy are listen to the "hit single" from their bandcamp. The Rev's EP was self recorded, mixed, mastered true DIY style. Brutal spazz grindcore and a live show to match, I always love seeing these dudes on "stage", its freaking AWESOME.
The Townie show in Sydney will be a later show to account for our other grindpalz playing Blackwire that night also. But for some serious postshows hit up the Townie, its also the first time The Worstmn have played outside of Newcastle, so they will be celebrating hard also. The night after The Townie head back to Canberra to play with Jap grinders Cyberne, DEAD and ACT OG hardcore band 4Dead.

New Video: Machinoir // The Dissonance Process Split
Solo Sydney noisegrind outfit Machinoir is set to release a new split of harshed out lo-fi grind this Friday. The other side of the split is US solo noise project The Dissonance Process and it be released by Lesstalk Records (the label that hosts this blog). Released primarily as a free download and limited run of CD's for those audiophiles who enjoy the art and final product as much/more than the music. Machinoir has previously worked on creating noisescapes for bands including Beyond Terror Beyond Grace and Michael Crafter.
As a little teaser he has released a promotional video, watching it gives you a bit more of a reference to the music that will ensue so I recommend seeing it before downloading. Watch below.

Crab Smasher – Serie Una Di Collaborazione
Serie Una Di Collaborazione was originally released back in 2006 at a very limited run on the now defunct Squeamish Recordings. The new version is now available again and has a much cooler cover, through Lesstalk Records.
The entire album was recorded over a couple of months at Annie St Gallery, it marks a defining change in direction for Crab Smasher, finding themselves as a 2-piece for the first time after the departure of founding member Chloe Russell. During a period of uncertainty as to how to proceed Crab Smasher started jamming with their friends regularly, both live and at home. Each of the special guests brought their own skills and sensibilities to the table and enabled them to approach Crab Smasher in new and exciting ways. Featuring collaborations with friends and past members including Nick Senger (Castings), Sarah Humphreys and many more.

R.O.N.F. Records (Regression of Noise Freaks) are fantastic people who have placed all of their releases on *the* internet archive. That site has an unbelievable amount of free downloads from all corners of the earth. I would advise checking it out. R.O.N.F. Records, as an underground non profit label that deals with underground artists in the noise/grind/experimental vein. They started in 2006 by releasing CD-rs of new and old acts from the early 90's noise explosion which influenced the label managers so much.
Anyway, todays download is an archive of 99 of the earliest Spanish noisecore and grindnoise bands from 1990 through to 1995. That 99 tracks from 99 bands... FREE! Almost of these bands used to record their stuff with a minimum of sources and the tape-recoder (in Spanish thats 'radiocaset', hence the title) as the main tool to capture the audio on their rehearsals, gigs and sessions. Only a few of them used mixers or trackers but the spirit of DIY as well as the improvisation method was present on all of the recordings during this era.
Some of them on this compilation are not noisecore or noise/grind exactly but also industrial, experimental, noise projects with common members with other noise/grind bands on the scene, more in the electronic vein but still with the same spirit. This compilation archives up to almost 100 bands into these styles. Of course, some of the bands being active during those years are not being featured because of lack of any of their recordings, but I dare to say that these are the most representative acts then and some more which are new to some of you. I know the only one I recognise is Holocausto Canibal.
