I came across this killer professioanl live video of Captain Cleanoff grinding up Obscene Extreme 2009.
Great stuff and definitely worth checking out!
The monolithic South Australian juggernauts of cannaboid-soaked, THC-drenched, filth-encrusted epic stoner doomsdayers Space Bong are coming to Sydney.
If you pay any attention to the general rubbish that I write, you'll know that I'm a big fan of these guys. They are a 6 piece (two guitarists and two vocalists) who play Eyehategod styled sludge, but at the epically slow tempos you'd expect from Earth with an excessive dose of doom. They're also loud as fuck.
Anyway, Grindhead Records is very, very stoked to get these guys out to Sydney. Space Bong will be playing three shows over the weekend, each with killer line-ups.
Captain Cleanoff headlines a show on Friday the 10th of July at the Town & Country before they piss off to Europe to play Obscene Extreme (those lucky assholes). We've also got Space Bong, Ebolie, Roadside Burial and Nothin' Suss. Entry $10.
On Saturday the 11th of July, the equally incredible Looking Glass headlines another Town & Country gig alongside Space Bong, Summonus, Nothin' Suss and Kill A Celebrity. You might want to bake some cookies for that one.
Then finally Space Bong, Ebolie and Roadside Burial are doing an all ages instore at Repressed Records from 4pm on the Sunday.
Three killer shows and plenty of doom to go around. The dudes will also be selling their new epic full length The Death of Utopia, out on Anna Vo's (of Crux) label An Out Recordings. And if you're a nerd, there's a Facebook event here so you can publicize your poor taste.
Captain Cleanoff head over to Euro to tear up the UK alongside Dutch grinders FUBAR in August as well as playing the awesome Obscene Extreme festival in July.
Old mate Muz provided this interview for Terrorizer's website.
Terrorizer magazine/website have just put up an interview with Jason PC from Blood Duster prior to their appearance at this years incredible Obscene Extreme Festival.
The guys talk shit about the festival, their favourite bands, hanging out with Kevin Sharp, the direction of the new album, pissing off Europeans, drinking Czech beer and sampling European porn. There's also the startling revelation that Dave Haley "can't play rock n' roll to save his life". You mean ultra-triggered fairy-tapping, one-dimensional tech/death drummers can't play rock n' roll with any feel, heart or soul? Who would've thunk it.
Check it out here old mate ehhh.
The killer extreme webzine Diabolical Conquest have put up a fairly comprehensive run down and review of this years Obscene Extreme festival over in the Czech Republic. I know I'm pretty obsessed with the festival, so I found this to be pretty interesting stuff.
Bands such as Macabre Minstrels, Hell Show, Poppy Seed Grinder, Ass to Mouth, Keitzer, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Fucksaw, Disturbance Project, Cerebral Turbulency, Malignant Tumour, Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation, Mesrine, Splitter, Putrid Pile, Cock and Ball Torture, Regurgitate, Agathocles, Namek, Dead, Pisschrist, Impaled Nazarene, Extreme Noise Terror and Macabre were at the festival, and Baz also managed to catch up with Dan Lilker (Brutal Truth) for a quick ad-hoc interview.
