Grindcore karaoke thanks to Gridlink

Posted by Matt

The grindcore powerhouse known as Gridlink have their newest album "Orphan" set to drop at the end of March. As a bit of promotion they group is holding a competition to win a test press of the album (sweat hard). All you gotta do is record yourself performing vocals to the title track "Orphan" as indicated by Jon Chang.

Shred your vocals at home and win some of the sickest new grind to hit 2011. So far it looks like no one has been game enough to post themselves doing it, but surely there has gotta be some big enough of a sweater to upload a video of themselves and their shitty vocals over the top of what sounds set to be such an epic song.

Think you can win the test press? Word is Mat of thedowngoing and Ben of Battle Pope are going to give it a shot.

Gridlink fucking ruleIf you are a self-respecting grindhead then you are already aware that Gridlink are essentially the great grind band to emerge in recent history. As such you will have already gone and pre-ordered their 2nd album Orphan from the Hydra Head Online Shop - in which case this notification is completely useless.

The CD version is $14 USD and the LP version $24 USD. There's also a new shirt too. Go get it fools. There is a few tracks up on their MySpace.

For the uninitiated; Gridlink have members of Discordance Axis, Kill the Client, Human Remains, Burnt By The Sun, Phobia, Noisear and they fucking rule. Their debut Amber Gray made about 700 grind bands across the world simply give up after hearing it. Get into it.
