23-26/01: Decolonise Festival (NSW) Rundown,

Posted by Matt

DIY?This event is way too confusing. A great idea, did they pull it off? We will just have to wait and see. Apparently you can pick up show guides from Paint It Black and Repressed Records and shit from Newtown. There are some pretty good bands playing over the weekend (Truth From Facts, McClane, Polyfox, Toy Death) with many people traveling interstate to join in with the festivities.

I am sure many people will come out of the woodwork for these shows. The whole thing is very hush hush and from things i have heard this caused many interstate bands pulling out because of its confusion. A life in fear of authorities is hardly worth living, but people have to make ends meet somehow i guess and shutting down all these venues by the police is the last thing anyone wants.

On this blog we are not in anyway affiliated with Decolonise, which also means we aren't obliged to hide all the info from everyone.
