Gruesome Stuff Relish – Last Men In Gore re-released

Posted by Lachlan

Gruesome Stuff Relish - Last Men In GoreGrindhead Records is gurgling bloody chunks of excitement to be finally resurrecting the undead, flesh-devouring, maggot-infested ghoul that is Gruesome Stuff Relish's "Last Men In Gore".

This apocalyptic, gore-drenched re-release contains a plethora of savage, gut-munching tracks spanning this Spanish gore monsters inception in 2000 to the end 2003, containing the never released 7" "Last Men Alive", the now classic "Brothers In Gore" split with Brutality Reigns Supreme and five unreleased innard liquefying gems.

Gruesome Stuff Relish combine old school the 1990's death metal of Entombed and Carnage with the splattered gore sound of Impetigo and Necrony; and is craciously transmitted through the use of catch-as-fuck! Filthy distorted guitars, bone-shattering blast beats and thick, punishing brain-stewing bass-lines - all while conceptually paying homage to the classic zombie and cannibal horror films of the 60's, 70's and 80's, best displayed on tracks such as "Walk Among the Living", "Green Inferno" and "Teenage Giallo Grind".

"Last Men In Gore" is absolutely essential in any collection of a self-confessed metal horror freak! Gorehounds rejoice!

Available now from Grindhead Records for $15 AUD or $10 USD.

Upcoming Relapse Records releases

Posted by Lachlan

Wow, Relapse Records sure dont fuck around with their reissues. Check em out along with these upcoming releases.

Bloodduster - Str8outtanorthcore, Cunt & Fisting the Dead / Yeest:
OUT NOW!
Bloodduster reissueCatch some of the new Relapse reissues of Bloodduster's classic albums; Cunt, Str8outtanorthcore (my favourite) and Fisting The Dead/Yeest. All reissues come with sexy new artwork (from Glennos - check out his site) and shitloads of bonus tracks - so dont miss out.

Cephalic Carnage - Conforming to Abnormality REISSUE:
OUT NOW!
Cephalic Carnage - Conforming to AbnormalityCephalic Carnage's 2nd full length album has been reissued on Relapse in both CD and Vinyl form. Definitely one to pick up; Cephalic Carnage's technical, THC-soaked, jazz-tinged bud blasting is something to behold. Remixed, remastered and repackaged with 21 bonus tracks.

Coldworker - Rotten Paradise:
Out 5/13/2008
Coldworker - Rotten ParadiseWell, here comes the Swedish death metal machine Coldworker's second full length album. The first album was a little underwhelming with artificially clean and polished production coupled with fairly monotonous songs that tended to drag a little on the long side. Lets see if this one is any better - Relapse never shies away from hyperbole, calling it "form the quintessential Swedish death metal album for a new century of extremity". It features Anders from Nasum - how bad could it be?

Enemy Soil - Casualties of Progress REISSUE:
Out 5/27/2008
Enemy Soil - Casualties of ProgressOld school grindcore with heavy politically and socially progressive ideologies. Enemy Soil is grindcore in the purest sense; a reissue of a classic that many may never have heard.

Scott Hull - Requiem:
Out 6/10/2008
Scott Hull - RequiemThe first album from Scott Hull of Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Anal Cunt fame. I'm not sure what to expect with this album, and I'll definitely check it out out of curiosity. The press release says he "pathos of death, the burden of guilt, and the weight of consequence in all their stages" - alright if you say so...

Check em all out at www.relapse.com - they're all available for pre-order.

Relapse to reissue first four Blood Duster albums

Posted by Lachlan

Tony - Blood Duster - Australia DayWell here's some cool news; Relapse Records has decided to release the first four Blood Duster albums: Fisting the Dead, Yeest, Str8outtanorthcote (my favourite) and Cunt.

It looks as though Fisting The Dead and Yeest will be re-released in one package. All three reissues have been totally remastered and feature new artwork and bonus material. The release date for the reissues is May 5 internationally (or April 29 in the U.S.).

These reissues come just before Blood Duster are set to desecrate the U.S. for the first time ever (with Dave Hayley of Psycroptic on drums mind you); playing this years Maryland Deathfest alongside fellow Aussie's The Day Everything Became Nothing and Fuck... I'm Dead. Just the thought of those three bands absolutely fucking flattening the U.S. makes me smile - can you imagine the poor bastards who might have heard Fuck I'm Dead's split with Engorged just explode when they hear them as a 5 piece?!

The line up of this years Maryland Deathfest includes the likes of Repulsion, Nuclear Assault, Grave, Dying Fetus, Disfear, Ghoul, Coffins, Impaled, Gruesome Stuff Relish (who have a new album coming up on Grindhead Records!), Engorged, Anaal Nathrakh, Macabre, Dead, Phobia, Gadget, Flesh Parade, Afgrund, Behold the Arctopus, Circle of Dead Children, Keitzer and loads more. I'd go on, but to be honest I'm so insanely jealous I'd rather just put it from my mind.

Blood Duster turn emo

I'll do the predictable thing and put up a track of Drink, Fight, Fuck even though it's one of my least favourite Duster songs:
