Guild of Destruction - Kill! Kill! Kill!: Old-school all-blasting, no-frills, thrashing intense death metal from the bowels of Melbourne Australia. Ripping heavy riffs and screaming solos make this essential for any 1990s death metal fan!
Gutted With Broken Glass - Headfuck: Absolutely traumatic, hyper-violent brutal cyber-death/grind, taking the music of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Fuck I'm Dead to chaotic new extremes.
Roncsipar - Kibera: A viscious hybrid of experimental influences from stoner rock to industrial metal. A unque and obscure listening experience from Hungary with dark and droning textures offset by haunting ambient undertones. For fans of Neurosis, Godflesh, Ministry and Scorn.
Corpsickle - Zombie Flesh Eaters: The Australian undead desecrators of death metal rise from their fetid tomb to unleash their plague!

Hailstones Kill 200 - I Am Not Afraid: Total and utter chaos. This Australian band has all the ferocity and intensity of deadly jagged sheets of ice raining from the sky. Ultra-violent power-violence/grind beyond all reasonable level. Comparisons can be made to Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and The Locust infused with the pace of extreme grindcore. Features members of the almighty Extortion.
Ebolie - Blood Tapped Skull: Ebolie combine the humour of Blood Duster and Gronibard with the intensity and groove of Napalm Death and the intensity of Nasum and Fuck I'm Dead with sporadic flirtations with jazz and funk. Killer Australian death/grind.
There is no shortage a cool gigs this weekend; infact there's some quality grind to be had all over Sydney on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
We got Rather Be Dead, Roadside Burial and Nothin' Suss at The Lewisham on Friday, then the almighty booze fuelled groove grinders Captain Cleanoff at Maggotsville Saturday, then Cleanoff, Kill A Celebrity and Roadside Burial at an ALL AGES instore at Repressed Records in Newtown from 2pm.
We grind you Dr. Grindenstein, your grind is the best.
Quite a cool little Grindhead Records show on tonight which will be no doubt enhanced by the simplistic beauty of pints at an Irish Pub.
Grannyfist, Frank Rizzo, Code of Lies and Fuck Oath will all be grinding up The Harp Irish Pub at Tempe from 8:00pm. I recommend some form of steak/pint combination for maximum enjoyment (is there a bistro there?).
In case you don't know these bands; Grannyfist play Anal Cunt-inspired screeching breakneck grindcore, with an extremely talented drummer (who also plays in Roadside Burial with members of Sydney veterans Bludgeoner and Volatile) and a hilarious vocalist (who also DJs as Drillbit) armed with truly horrific and agonizing vocal effects.
Frank Rizzo are one of my favourite Sydney punk bands. Their music is fast, furious and catchy as hell, complimented by two vocalists who play very well of eachother. All up they are a killer six piece. Code of Lies are the promising young trans-genre grind band that I keep raving about (unforunately sans their caped vocalist Nathattak). Their new MCD The Age of Disgrace should be available on the night.
Last of all Fuck Oath are a crusty grind/hardcore band with members of many other Sydney bands. I haven't had a chance to catch these guys live yet.
Captain Cleanoff have long been considered one of Australia's (and dare I say the worlds) best grind bands. These guys manage to mix mosh-inducing punk grooves with sheer blasting brutality, coupled with an inimitable vocals style, an enormous live sound and a sense of humour and fun.
Not only have they released two instant classics within the genre (Self-titled and Symphonies of Slackness), but they are also one of Australia's best live bands (rivaled only by fellow grind heavyweights Agents of Abhorrence, The Kill and Fuck I'm Dead in my opinion).

Just a word of advice: Slaughterfest II down in The Basement in Canberra sold out - so if you're coming tonight I'd try and get there before there's no more tickets left!
See you all there for this awesome mini-festival. Such a killer line up.
There's a killer gig going down tonight at The Basement in Belconnen, Canberra featuring the likes of those death rockin' snuff lovin satan worshipping groove grinders Blood Duster, the sludged out doom of Pod People, Ebolie's brand of alcohol fuelled grindcore depravity, the live debut of the bludgeoning (terrible pun intended) Roadside Burial and finally the bluesy death/doom of Clagg.
