Halal, How Are You? and the (temperamental) Pocket are playing at the Vanguard on the 5th of august. It may seem a little early to be posting this but I am just too damn excited. They will also be playing with the Lillies and Sleep Dept.
Id also like the state that this is not the self proclaimed ‘infamous’ Mathew Vaughn of Anal Discharge ‘fame’. It is David K. Smith of Matt Vaughn diaries/Pocket/Skippy FAME. I thought this show would be a great first post as I am overly excited to play with Halal.

Until next time,
-David K. Smith.
It comes with great pleasure for me to introduce F’tang aka Foolahan to the Lesstalk family. I hope his overly fertile body produces much great music now and into the future. Over the past few weeks it has been great getting to know crazy-old Foolahan a lot better and I know he will do us proud. F’tang is releasing their 5-track debut EP on Lesstalk Records.
More Information: F’tang is Tom Houlahan. As recorded by Jonathan Boulet.
Note his spanky well groomed beard and awesome brown jacket. He enjoys math/rock, math rock and long walks on the beach. An Aquarius he listens to a lot of American Football, Trail of Dead and about a million other bands I have not yet heard of.
In Tom’s spare time he can be found recommending awesome music in Beatdisc Records Parramatta or playing live in other bands such as Jonathan Boulet (the band), Zounds and Gorge.

Skippy the Bush Kangaroo are back from a long hiatus to headline a once off show at the Chilli Lounge Wyong, this Friday. Playing with many of their local central coast punk friends to fill up the bill with great times including Phobiac (punk rock), The Penetrators (improv 80’s hardcore) and Eyes of the Scavenger (90’s alk influenced pop punk). Skippy’s thrash grind is a much missed part of the Central Coast music and it will be a very friendly way to welcome them back.

One of the greatest events of the year is coming up! The Winter Tragic Festival will once again take place at Akemi in the beautiful Blue Mountains of New South Wales on Sunday June 21.
Akemi is a small shopfront and house on the edge of a cliff overlooking a great big valley. It is operated as a studio and performance space by various artists, activists, and mega celebrities of the Australian experimental underground.
The Festival runs over about 12 Hours and typically consists of heaps of radical Blue Mountains acts, as well as bands from all over the country. It really is one of the best opportunities of the year for all the weirdos to get together and the label distros are always excellent.
The line up consists of:-
Sun Of The Seventh Sister
Hochman & Hopkins
Nhomea
Craft Bandits
Audiopollen Collective
Adam Simmons
The Splinter Orchestra
Lungalung
QQQQ
Venting Gallery
Red Pinkos
